when heated and then inhaled by the bather. The whole house unit
is designed to remove the most common contaminates from all household
water.
How
does the system work?
The MS5K whole
house filtration system consists of 6 filter cartridges; a pre-filter
and 5 either carbon block or ceramic cartridges. This removes sediment, chlorine and chemicals for uses such as showering,
bathing, washing clothes
We recommend
that the pre-filter is changed every 6 months and the carbon block
or ceramic filters are changed once a year. The system is fitted
onto the mains water supply so that your whole house is filtered.
Our stainless
steel ‘Glacier’ systems have the added benefit of
higher flow rate potential, more flexible cartridge solutions
and a ten year guarantee on housings.

Pre-Filter
We use a 1 micron pre-filter to prolong the life of the Whole House cartridge.
The pre-filter removes turbidity, sediment and particulates such as dirt and
rust.

The main housing
can be fitted with either carbon block or ceramic cartridges according
to your requirements.
- ‘Topaz’
carbon block: For filtration of mains water where chemical rather
than bacteria contamination is an issue. Removes the following
chemicals in both particle and dissolved forms.
- Chlorine
- Trihalomethane
- Pesticides
- Herbicides
- PAH's*
- Phenols
- Parasites
- Various Other Chemicals
*Polyaromatic hydrocarbons, oil based chemicals, tetrahydrochoride,
dry cleaning solvents etc.
- ‘Jade’
silverised ceramic cartridge: Choose ceramic cartridges where
removal of bacteria is more important than removal of chemicals,
for example from a borehole supply.
- 'Platinum'
Ceramic/ Carbon cartridges: Combine the great benefits of both types of
filtration from one type of cartridge, use this cartridge to achieve
the best water for you and your family.
Additional Systems
We can also supply an extra Bypass housing with a ‘Crystal’

Housings
The filter
housing is made of high grade stainless steel. All stainless steel
filter housings carry a 10 year warranty.
Is the MS5K right for me?
The average person uses 150 litres of water per day for drinking, bathing and
washing. The Whole house system comes in two sizes. The smaller MS5K has the
capacity for an average of 1-2 person household. All units are designed to be
plumbed in where the mains water supply comes into the house. We recommend that
an under sink, point of use, filter such as the Fresh Water 1000 be fitted as well to
remove possible bacteria from drinking water.
