SOLUTION |
| Loose
KDF media in box when filter arrived |
Some
of the smallest grains have slipped out during carriage |
Don’t
worry! This is perfectly normal and does not mean that
your filter is defective or damaged. Grains are held together
when wet so will not be flushed out by the water flow
when the filter is in operation. |
| Shower
filter will not fit on inlet pipe |
Plastic
plug has not been removed from filter inlet |
Remove
plastic plug. It has been placed there to help reduce
media loss during carriage. |
| Chlorine
smell |
a)
Flow rate too high. Rate of chlorine reduction will
reduce as flow rate increases as there is less contact
time with media.
b)
Filter is at end of its life. Shower filters have a
life expectancy of about 1 year. |
a)
Back wash monthly. See user manual (link to pdf)a) Use
the SH-HI high pressure shower filter.b) If already using
SH-HI, regulate flow rate using shower controlc) Replace
shower filter. BUY (LINK TO LIST OF PARTS) |
| Low
flow rate |
Scale
build up or build up of suspended solids |
a)
The likelihood of a flow reduction depends on use of the
filter and quality of the source water. Back wash monthly
to avoid build up. See user manual (link to pdf) |
| Leaking
