Featuring advanced drinking water filtration technology, our exclusive FreshWater MP1K water filter is supplied as a complete system, ready to install.  Included in the package is a strong and durable plastic water filter housing with our exclusive 'Pearl' water filter cartridge and a chromium finish lever operated dispenser tap.  The unique 'Pearl' multi-stage water filter cartridge at the heart of the FreshWater 1000 system employs a combination of porous ceramic and carbon technologies to provide wide-spectrum water filtration.  It is effective against a wide range of potential waterborne contaminants, including harmful bacteria, parasites, cysts, chlorine, lead and unpleasant tastes and odours.  Healthy elements such as magnesium and calcium that give water its refreshing taste are retained.

Q. How is the system installed?  Will I need a plumber?

A. Installing the FW1000 system is straightforward. There is no need to cut pipework and simple push-fit connections make the procedure easy.  However, if you are not competent at DIY we recommend you appoint an approved installer to fit your system, or allow us to arrange this for you.

Q. How often will I need to replace the cartridge?

A. We recommend you change your system's cartridge every 6 months. To make sure you receive your replacement cartridge on time every time simply enrol on our cartridge replacement scheme and leave us to do rest.  We can also offer you the convenience of paying by Direct Debit.       

Q. How much filtered water will one cartridge give me?

A. Filtered water volumes from a single cartridge vary.  Factors to consider include how much your tap is used and the quality of your water.  For example, if your water is of poor quality and your system is removing lots of contaminants, the ceramic layer of your system's filter cartridge will clog sooner and require replacing more frequently. 

Q. How much space does the system take up under the sink?

A. The filter cartridge and its housing is very compact - approximately 30cm high.  It fits neatly into a standard kitchen base unit and still leaves plenty of space!
