MP2K 'Fountain' Water Filter System

Need to Know FreshWater's MP2K filter system features advanced water filter technology and is supplied complete with a twin food grade plastic filter housing and two water filter cartridges. The Emerald cartridge set uses microporous ceramic, carbon and Dealk resin to provide high capacity broad-spectrum water filtration performance against a wide range of potential waterborne contaminants including harmful bacteria, parasites, cysts, unpleasant tastes and odours, chemicals and heavy metals including lead. Healthy elements such as magnesium and calcium that give water its refreshing taste are retained.

Q. How do I specify a different filter configuration in my FreshWater MP2K?

Q. Why choose an MP2K filter tap system over an MP1K single cartridge filter tap system?

A. The twin filter configuration of the MP2K with the 'Emerald' cartridge combination, offers the convenience of yearly cartridge changes, superior water flow and the opportunity to select various alternative water filter cartridge combinations to address specific water quality concerns that are outside the scope of the single filter systems - e.g Sediment, Nitrates, Fluoride and the cosmetic concern of Limescale Reduction. 

Q. How is the MP2K mini filter tap system installed?  Will I need a plumber?

A. Installing the MP2K system is straightforward. There is no need to cut pipework and simple push-fit connections make the procedure quick and easy. However, if you are not competent at DIY we recommend that you appoint an approved installer to fit your system or allow us to make the arrangements for you.

Q. How often will I need to replace the filter tap system's cartridge?

A. We recommend you change your 'Emerald' cartridges every 12 months.

Q. How much filtered water will the cartridges give me?

A. The water filter cartridges are designed to maintain the quality of the filtered water for the stated life of the cartridges - 12 months in the case of the Emerald combination.  In exceptional cases, where higher than normal levels of sediment are present, the cartridges may clog and need replacing before the usual replacement date. This will be obvious as the flow of the water from the tap will slow to an unacceptable level.      

Q. How much space does the filter system's cartridge housing take up under the sink?

A. The MP2K filter tap system's cartridge housings are very compact - each housing is approximately 32cm high and 21cm across.  They fit neatly into a standard kitchen base unit and still leave plenty of space!
